Robin Nest Doing Fine But Predators are Near
5/27/2009 Alita and I took a quick trip up the ladder to check on the robin’s nest. At least one very young nestling was observed squirming. The adults are busy making feeding forays from around the yard to the nest. The male patrols an area about 30 yards in all directions from the nest, checking out and scolding anything that moves. Both parents hysterically attacked a Steller’s jay that was prowling around in the trees nearby.
