5/10/2009 Morro Rock never fails to provide some kind of bird discovery. This morning we took a brief stroll on the small beach in the lee of the monolith. There, stranded 30 feet above the waterline, the kids found a juvenile common murre. While they know that usually the best option with a lost baby animal is to leave it where found, the kids rightly determined that with all of the dogs being allowed to run here the murre had a better chance away from this stretch of shore.
